South Shore beaches

Baldwin Beach
Located four miles north of the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 on State Route 89. It has rest rooms, picnic facilities, BBQ, and a parking fee.

El Dorado Beach
Located between Rufus Allen Blvd. and Lakeview Avenue in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. It has rest rooms, boat launch, picnic facilities, and BBQ.

El Dorado Beach
Located at the base of Emerald Bay with a one mile hike down. It boasts of the Vikingsholm Castle historical home, some scenic spots, rest rooms, and picnic facilities.

Fallen Leaf Lake
Located at Fallen Leaf Road, off State Route 89. It has boat launch, Fallen Leaf Lodge, rest rooms, picnic facilities, and BBQ.

Kiva Beach
Situated 2.5 miles north of the intersection of Highway 50 on Highway 89, it provides rest rooms, picnic facilities, and BBQ.

Nevada Beach
This beach can be found at Elk Point Road near Round Hill, off Highway 50. It has a Boat-in at the south end, some rest rooms, picnic facilities, and BBQ.

Pope Beach
Located 2 miles north of the intersection with Highway 50 on Highway 89, it has a parking fee, rest rooms, picnic facilities and BBQ.

Regan Beach
Situated at Lakeview Avenue and Sacramento Avenue in South Lake Tahoe. No dogs are allowed, though fire and alcohol are allowed. The place has food concessions as well as rest rooms, picnic facilities, and playgrounds.

Spooner Lake
Located at Highway 50 and Highway 28, Nevada State Park. It has hiking trails, a lake, rest rooms, picnic facilities and BBQ.

Timber Cove
Situated in Highway 50 behind Timber Cove Lodge, it has a nearby marina, rest rooms, and picnic facilities.

Zephyr Cove Beach
Sited at Highway 50 at Zephyr Cove, it has rentals, cruises on M.S. Dixie II, food concessions, rest rooms, BBQ. Parking fees apply.

Kaspian Recreation Area
Located at the South of Sunnyside on State Route 89, it offers campsites across the highway, rest rooms, picnic facilities, and BBQ.

William Kent Campground
Located near Sunnyside on State Route 89, it offers a rocky beach with room for sunbathing plus rest rooms and picnic areas.

Sugar Pine Point State Park
Located at the 1 mile south of Tahoma on Highway 89, this place is more lake-edge than beach. You can check out the historic Ehrman Mansion as well as the exciting nature trails. There s also a pier, rest rooms, picnic facilities, and a parking fee.

Meeks Bay
Situated on Highway 89, 10 miles south of Tahoe City , adjacent to Meeks Bay Campground . This is a white sand beach with day use fees. The place offers boat launch, rest rooms and picnic facilities.

D.L. Bliss State Park
Located on Highway 89 between Meeks Bay and Emerald Bay , D.L Bliss has a large camping area, beach, picnic tables and fire pits. There are day use parking fee, beach fee, and other use fees. Reservations are a must. (800) 444-7275.

Emerald Bay Beach
Accessible only by one-mile, it s a steep, sandy hike from the parking lot on Highway 89, or by trail from Bliss Park. It provides picnic tables, the historic Vikingsholm Castle , and views of the only island in Lake Tahoe . Limited parking available.
